The concept of flop in poker games comes into play in community card poker variants like Texas hold ‘em and Omaha hold ‘em and mean either the round of play where three cards with their faces up are dealt to the board or it is a reference to the cards themselves. The dealing of the flop cards closes the opening betting round and is followed by the second round of betting. Two more betting rounds each of which sees a dealing of a card follow the flop round — the fourth card or turn and the fifth and final card or river.
